A miserable rainy Sunday in Melbourne, so I took a drive to Castlemine where Don De Luca was doing morning workshops and an afternoon demonstration.
A few quick snaps on my phone but they capture the atmosphere a little, hopefully more pictures will follow.

Many thanks to the Castlemaine Bonsai Club who showed wonderful hospitality and made me feel very welcome, and to Don who managed to pass on a few pearls of wisdom in his usual humorous style.

We had a great day out with Don, His humour, his hangover and his life stories. He bought in a stonker Desert Ash which he had grown from seed to workshop. There where a lot of good trees brought in to get advice on and lots of work done. I reworked an old Mugo which i have had sitting on my bench for a long time and it was good to get some opinions on it. Anyway, i will do a separate thread on it but here are some good shots of Don's demo. The demo was mainly wiring and chatting but i was not bored in the least.
