Hi everyone up north. How did your trees cope with a drop of snow :lost:

Who would have thought that southern QLD would get a drop of snow?

We had minus 3.5 degrees today at Canberra airport but got down to about Zero here at the collection. No snow though.

Hi Guys its Winter , plenty of snow on the alps and i'm fogged in again .How blessed am i , the fog keeps them frost away . Matthew don't put any goldfish in you pond , nothing worse than seeing them frozen solid . I gave up on fish ponds .Cover those water trough valves or they too will freeze and burst .

Cheers Alpine

It actually started dropping snow droplets early morning but when the sun started to rise this is what greated me.

Hey Mathew! Love the alpacas. How fine are their fleeces? Do you have any (fleeces) for sale? Do you have any other colours? I'm after red and caramel colours to spin to make garments. I did a swap with a local who has a few alpacas. She wanted a dinner set and I wanted some of her fleeces. We came to a mutual agreement and I'm about to spin this weekend, some of the blackest fleece I have ever come across.

penney

Feel free to have the fleese if you want. we got 3 garbage bags full last sheer and the intention was to spin it ourselves but work has gotten in the way and we have no time. It takes ALOT of effort to wash it too. Not sure on the quality but breeder we got these 2 from has a good reputation and dosent talk bull and said it was pretty good (cant remember exact quality?) They are both pregnant to a chocolate brown male so the offspring could be interesting.
I bought them because they are interesting, dont eat much, dont cause me any problems and i can pat them and walk them all day if i wanted too and no they dont spit like alot of people think.... at least my girls dont. ;)

Most of them are well-behaved and I haven't been christened .....yet.
Let me know the postage and I'll send it down and then spin up some for you(someone) to knit it as a thank you. I don't know when I'll get to do it as I have a few orders for scarves

This is what I'm doing atm. They measure 2mtrs x 400mm and you can fit three through a wedding ring. It will be interesting to see what colour the crias will be. When are your girls due? You will have to be very careful with this weather in case you lose them
