I love how when i look at the plant i can see the damp crevices, rocks and footpaths of Taronga. Hack i know you say it needs a canopy trim/restyle but i personally think its perfect how it is, its "imperfections" are part of what gives this plant its character. Just in my newbie opinion...

I was going to ask how you achieved the blanket of aerials, then i noticed your location. Maybe some of my figs need to spend a year or two on the gold coast

Great to see the historical photos. Don't mean to make you feel old, but I was born in '67, so it is great to see that history in a Bonsai, especially here.

Still got those old Wisteria's? Look forward to seeing those in flower.

Thanks Tony, That doesn't make me feel old, I started Bonsai when I was still a foetus Still got all the old wisterias and have been doing a bit of grafting to get unusual varieties onto old trunks of sinensis. I found a great one a couple of months ago that has small, round balls of flowers in early summer. It's an American species, so I'm looking forward to doing some grafting in spring. Too many purple sinensis, I need more variety.
