Hi Guys
I've recently acquired these 3 eucalyptus trees, they are in barrels except for one, and are fairly large, there's 2 ficifolia and one tasmanian blue gum. I was initially thinking of reducing them down, but I understand that the general consensus is that they are difficult trees to work with. Any suggestions, i'm also contemplating on aerial layering them. Anyway would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions
Cheers
Ben

Ahh the old Myth that Eucalypts are difficult! Bahhhh.
Not at all mostly, ( although some particular varieties are). they will back bud on old wood, Take wire well, leaves reduce well, Can be carved, Burnt

, Root pruned, Airlayered.
Try then and see how you can go
PS they look like quite large trees

Nice
Ken

Possibly do some searching on the site - some folk feel that you can do most anything to Eucs if you do it in the heat, when they are dormant, then keep them well-watered in a very free-draining mix afterwards. Good luck.
