Hi yo,

A larger, flatter oval pot with a deep brown or red glaze would be good for that tree. :imo:

Good luck with it,

Brad75.

Hi Stick?, A very nice tree and so healthy. No I dont think a larger pot will be what is needed, I think instead you should trim some of the longer branches especially the one top right. The trunk size is telling me that you need to condense the branches a bit more and reduce the overall height a little. Rather than potting on, think about keeping the tree to a size that suits its present pot.The pot is not too bad either. I would dearly like to put some wire on this tree and re-focus, is that the right word? Define its style is what I am trying to say.Sorry but I must also say to remove the moss from off the trunk, very nice on the soil surface, not good on trunk. Think about possible collar rot! Good luck with this and lets have a look again soon, you are definately on the right track :tu2:

I was thinking that maybe just make it a smaller tree :lost:
I reckon you might find a Branch about mid way up the trunk that might make a better apex. Give some nice taper to the result.

Thankyou for the compliments :) im pretty happy with the whole branch system on the tree, all that ive done is a bit of wiring for branch placement (the branches are thick so not so much space) , tomorrow im setting up a stand for some of my plants to get better morning sunlight ill take a few shots to show the branches clearer

I prefer the secon picture view as a front, except from there it looks like a branch is crossing in front on the main trunk line.
From that position it looks like you would want to remove it. Great trunk base.
I would love to see a few more pictures.
Regards,
Michael

Hi Stick, Great new pictures, shows the tree in a much better light. If this is the front that we are looking at then I think you need to remove that crossing branch unless you can wire it and re direct it or can you change the front slightly to make this branch more to the side. Yes I still like this tree, all the best with it. :tu:

Done :D it was my plan to re arrange this tree slowly, because the branches are fairly thick its fairly hard to get a good spot for the branches.. but here is what im staying with, i think it looks great and shows off the main base just right.. let me know your thoughts?

No cutting was involved! ;)
