trimming and pruning juniper in autumn/winter in Perth

Got a quick timing question concerning working in Junpers (shimpaku etc) –
There is conflicting information on this subject – some resources state that junipers should only be worked on in spring (Pruning/trimming/repotting) and others say that one can prune and trim a juniper in autumn/winter when it has become dormant? I am in Perth and winter is on its way.
Cheers
Adrian

:gday: Adrian, it's getting fairly cold now mate, i wouldn't repot till it warms again in spring,
if your juni has plenty of excess foliage and branches you could lighten the load a bit now , but a short wait wouldn't hurt for that either .

Hi Craig, :gday:

thanks mate for the advice. I will definitely leave the repotting until spring. the tree needs a trim and foliage needs to be refined into the start of pads with some detailed wiring along with this, there are also two branches that are not needed for my plan. I'm in no rush and happy to wait the winter and just do some wiring and save the pruning/cutting etc until spring.

cheers
