Sheoak is the common name for this species. This one started as a root of the larger tree, that was a subject in the Virtual thread. In December 2010 I air layered this from a large root. It was thinned out and let grow and cut back and let grow.
Today I decided to have a look and see what was going on with the roots, this is the results so I decide to put some style in and the pot it in it grow home. For the next phase of its development.

This was a root cutting, that was not doing very well as it was too long and straight so I layered it to get this little tree. This is the mother if you see the large scar low down that was a root coming out at a nasty angle.

I will look for the tree before work started, hopefully I still have some where, but mean time.

I have found the tree as it was bought for $5-00 at a sale of a closing down nursery. It had a lot of foliage but that had to got to get in a small car boot, being allocasuarina no trouble getting foliage.

The second picture shows where the root was growing, which was the part I have used.

Pup - Every time I see you post one of your trees, I get another burst of inspiration and motivation. And all of your progressions, walkthroughs, and random little tips seem to be pure gold - only very useful.
