Well I was fortunate enough to be at the Kokufu-ten this year when the set up was being done and I was able to take plenty of pics. So I'll start the ball rolling with some to give you a general feel of the exhibition if you haven't been there yet.

Remember that this is before the crowds all pour in and it's like being on a conveyor looking at these magnificent trees for about 3.2 seconds each before being ushered along.

These shots were taken in the car park obviously as we were unloading the truck with all the trees for the show. There was quite a large service elevator we could use to take the trees up.

Wow

The size of these trees is quite amazing, it is nice to see them next to people to get an idea of how large they are. I notice that many of the stands are very similar - Scott (or anyone else) do you know if there are trends in stand type or tree type displayed at Kokofu?

Thank you for these wonderful pictures Scott, it makes you understand what setting up is all about, every small detail is not left undone so the trees are displayed at the optimum.

Ahhh Japan.

Yep it's a great place. Here are some pics of the actual trees on display. Please keep in mind that this was before the exhibition opened so the final layout may have varied. Also, not all trees were there at the time I was so it's not all trees.
