Hey all,
Just a little progression series of a Juniper which I bought back in 2006. Its gone through a few changes but I think I am goint to try something a little different and try and make it into a twin cascade. Anyway see how it goes. Still a lot of crowing to be done but I think I have got the structure of it set up. I have also included a quick sketch of what I am thinking of. Any advive or comments are more than welcome.

WOW! It is a very interesting development. Perhaps the most interesting nursery stock development has been posted to date on AusBonsai.
It has a very feminine feel to it. And the changes were drastic. Would you be able to tell us what prompted you to make such change?
Are you having plan to change the pot later on?
Best regards.

It definitly has been through a fair few changes over the years. It was one of the first nursery stock trees I bought and I guess my views on where I wanted it to go changed over the years. I have never been totally happy with where it was going and I think as I progressed in by Bonsai experience my views chaanged. I'm still not totally sure about the twin cascade but I'm going to give it a go. The other option I was thinking of was to keep developing the main leader adding more twist and turns so in about 2-3 years I will have the makings of a literati style tree. I will definitly re-pot the tree in spring, this pot was just temporary which it has now been in for about 2 years...hehehe...
I'm not sure about the ballance of the sketch I have done bit I thyink it is a bit heavy on the cascade side?
Bugger...I just realised I forgot to put up the Before Styling 2012 photo last night. I put this in tonight to show the pregression from 2010 to 2012
What are you thoughts.

It's come a real long way Ryan and so has your eye for style
It has a lovely dynamic flow to it now. Reminds me of Robert Stevens 'punjing' style. It would look great planted in a rock or on a granite slab. What sort of container did you have in mind?
Regards,
Steven

Cheers Steve, I'm not to sure as of yet, I was thinking of maybe a squarer style pot maybe 100mm deep
To allow the two main cascade branches grow a bit longer and sit just above bench height. Although I
Like the slab idea as well? What's your thoughts, I don't want to develope the cascade too long thou as it
Might be a bit unbalanced depending how the crown developes?
