juniper cuttings

do you need rooting powder to grow juniper cuttings and would bonsai mix be good for them to grow in

Not necessary but it does give better odds .

Often Juniper cuttings can take a long time to strike. The rooting hormone will help prevent the cutting from rotting before it strikes.

I've used rooting powder with a bonsai soil mix successfully- though you need to be patient. Once you see new growth at the tips of the cutting you can be pretty sure there are roots there too.

also how long will it take for the roots to grow :lost:
and will it be ok to grow them in a plastic container with holls in the bottom :fc:
