i'll keep it updated. ( there all projects) nothing like some bonsai on this site,
As for the silk tree ( that pot is only 2cm deep) i have no idea how its going to go.
I might transplant tree and rock onto a big pot (25l ) in winter and give it a year in there to get some size. (that rock is about 25kg) great idea at the time now i hate moveing it.
I have other silk trees coming along as well.
********************************************************
Any help or thorghts on any of my trees would be great as well.

Hi fiveoffive , best keep that big rock out of the Wagga Heat or it will be a crispy tree. Nice progress , i must get myself a Rain tree and a Pepercorn tree one of these days .

Cheers Alpineart.

Hi fiveoffive , thanks for the offer . I don't know if a peppercorn will grow from a cutting , but its worth a try . I would be very keen to see a pic of the root mass hiding under the soil . I know of plenty that could be dug but the root mass is under a shadow as far is i'm aware .Keen to see if it has a fibrous mass ie "willow" or a tap root radial roots . Makes it easier if i knew before attempting to dig one .

Cheers Alpine

Hi fiveoffive , mate how did you get that elm off me , i must have had a hangover !!! . Its the only blonde i had as a trainer and yes its a powerful trunk . Keep on top of it or i will get out of control and will take forever to pull back into shape . You have a nice collection going and growing all the time . Balance is good , obsession is healthy .

Cheers Alpine

Nice going Hawaii 5 of 5!!

Regarding the new elm....what have you placed in front of her (if indeed you have at all?) to give the appearance of a thickened trunk?

Looks good, but do declare.....has she been hacked down to the produce new, young growth that is seen, or is the thickened trunk exterior to the plant itself.

You are progressing well, Young Padowan.
