something not right there, Have yo touched the roots lately , did it dry out too much from heat alittle while back? usually i put things like that down to either root work at wrong time or too much removed, not enough water on a hot day sometimes its all it takes and with pines it may take alittle while b4 problems present. Too wet maybe the cause but i usually put it down to underwatering but beginners sometimes kill there bonsai with kindness, Is your climate suitable for mugos, they need a cold winter and dont like alot of heat and dry winds. Have you had it in full sun or shade?

Hi Matthew,
No root work, this tree about had the drill out technique going back a few months, but lately we have had heaps of hot dry westerlies, is this the end of the tree??? because iv read with juni's once they go yellow on brown on the tips its too late
Where it was got about 6-8 hours sun but not in the hottest part of the day, due to daylight savings.

Hi Drew , imo it's gone mate, what does the rest of the tree look like?
Combined with drill out and bending the higher temps/winds would of done the damage for sure. Theres only one way to learn and it's to try, now the question is , are you willing to try again
