Small Twisty Pine

Here's a tree that was given me by a good friend. I didn't think too much of it until I started wiring it this week.

The coils are quite regular and artificial and the foliage is very far from the trunk.

thats cool. Once its thick enough to start to fuse on itself and has bark....mmmm tasty shari.

The problem is that the coils are too far apart ever to do that, and too regular. So I wired the bugger.

Now when I plant it in the ground, the tree can grow into the wire a bit, thicken up, and hold the twists.
Bud grafting later will put foliage wherever I want it.
