These were collected from my garden in winter last year and potted into black plastic, then very neglected .All suffered from lack of water and die back . A few months ago i re-potted them into these used meat trays {my recycled training trays} and began to look after them , well i watered them anyway .

Trunks like this are growing all through the my terraces .I have 1 that is 3m high and the bark is still smooth so i really don't know what species of Ash they are as we have Desert and English Ash tree's throughout the town . I will get out there and remove most of them for trainers the rest ill go into compost . These were chopped at the top or died back ,no other work has been done , certainly could do with a trim or chop .All are self sown from mulch collected from the council mulching day , they have 1 every year where they mulch all trimmings from local gardens is collected and anyone can have it for free . It amazing the little trainers i have collected from this mulch .I will post some pics of the tree's still in the garden and others i have dug ..

Cheers Alpine

Nice Alpine, some really interesting trunk shapes there!...I presume from pushing up through the mulch?
Look forward to seeing pics of the other ash you have in the garden!
Cheers, Dario.
