Fertilising for Juniper

Hi all
I have a pretty nice Juniper in a standard plastic pot in what looks to be a mix of organic and non-organic coarse potting mix. So far it is doing well but I am not going to start styling until I have a plan. in the meantime, I was wondering what would be a good fertilizer for the Shimpaku?
As i also have a large Vege garden. I have Powerfeed Fish Emulsion on hand which is high in both nitrogen and to a lesser extend Pottasium. on the back of the bottle it reads (by vol) Nitrogen (N) 14, Phosphorous (P) 1.4, Potassium.in that case, would this fertiliser be ok to use on the Shimpaku?
At the moment, in the summer heat, I am careful to make sure the plant stays watered but I am yet to fertilise. I am reluctant to go by another fertiliser if I don't have to.
cheers in advance
Adrian
