I just trimmed some thick, fused roots off a fig i collected a few months ago, plenty of new roots on it. Any chance it would be able to grow as a root cutting if i pot it up?

Oddly enough I tried the same thing with some on Saturday Hornet so I will let you know. Nothing to lose I suppose but I have never tried it before.

I have grown quite a few Ficus from root cuttings. Only some species will come from roots. Salicaria, and natalensis are two that will grow from root cuttings. Microcarpa has never sprouted for me.
Good luck with your efforts.
