Juniper Expansa Variegata.

So I got this nice juniper (well I like the colors and wanted a juniper until the seeds germinate)
I planted it into a pot,-mistake number one- the soil is only coconut soil (and some moss at the wound).
Mistake number two: forgot to put some wire through the pot to hold the tree.
Unfortunately I didnt have any rooting hormone.
now it looks like this: I dont want to put it in direct sunlight (or near cats) yet, this is the best place I could find.
So, do you think it'll survive? (its the beginning of winter here but temp's wont be lower the 5 C i guess)
How frequently should I water it? (It drains quickly)
And when can I start fertilizing?
Thanks.
and he had 3 trunks coming out about 1 cm from the ground
Today I finally decided to chop one of them , took the smallest one , cut it from the others and got some of its roots out (apparently its really hard to take out the roots of only one trunk).I planted it into a pot,-mistake number one- the soil is only coconut soil (and some moss at the wound).
