Hi Bougy Fan , mate build a roof top garden over the pergola , sure the missus wouldn't mind until you watered the plants . The beauty of country living , its not really that big just well organized . The driveway takes up more area , been thinking about a strip down the middle instead of grass make it a shohin grow bed :tu: trouble is the wife and the outlaws cant reverse around it now ;)

Looking good alpineart.
I hope you get some great growth this year.
I want to see some of thos big fusions you got going in pots next year.
Not to long to spring now, looking ford to seeing how they turn out. Big year of power feeding.
I have a 35 wip fusion I made this year after seeing what you have been makeing.
Keep up the good work.

Hi Fiveoffive , mate the progress from whips to fused trunks has taken 3 years , 2 of which were very neglected times . Some have worked better than other , but with a couple of hundred trunks to play with i will have my work cut out keeping tabs on these from now on . Can't wait to get a few in pots but i don't have the pots to spare .I might have to jamb a few trunks into those big pots and created some twisted forests , less stock again by my thinking .

I keep finding more loose whips in amongst the other stock so i have wound a few together today , 10 into 1 works better and less room . I will put together 1 more large one as i have found a failed ROR fused bunch 20 odd whips and a few 15 mm straight trunks , should be able to torture them into something .

I cut these back hard about 6 weeks ago , some have began to leaf out over the last couple of days . Hope your configuration works out , if not i know a good bloke who has way too many to look after  .

I had a quick visit from Fiveoffive and he suggested i make use of this are . I needed more room for the rest of the Tridents i had so it was out with the rotary hoe , round up some scrap treated pine and make some more grow beds ,

Now all the Tridents are tucked in , along with a few other odd trunks .Don't want to see another Trident laying around in the yard from now on . Now all i have to do is run a dog/kangaroo proof fence around them and they can grow like weeds , i will trim them occasionally during the growing season .

Hang on mate - how does the cook get to the washing line ? Did you get approval for the extra grow beds or do it while she was at work ?

Hi Isitangus , mate got some serious trunks to grow need serious beds to grow them in .

Hi Bougy Fan , i had full permission as long as the sheets could hang down without tangling in the tree's . I left 10 square feet vacant under the line and Karen can hang the clothes from the grass lawn and spin the line around . Hang on i think do more washing anyway ;) Looks like i will have to now .

I don't want or need another trident .

Hi Neli , at least i can see them grow and trim as required rather than have a compact garden hedge like before .Hopefully it will be a good growing season all around .

Well the growing season is on us and things have taken off like a gut shot greyhound , the hedge trimmer is looking like it will get some use again this year .
P1080155.JPG
I'm looking at wiring a few of these as they grow during this season but things aren't as good as they could be
P1080158.JPG
P1080157.JPG
P1080156.JPG
P1080151.JPG
, at the moment i'm looking more than doing and that's hard work .These fused and fusing trunks will be trimmed continually unlike last year they were allowed to run free
P1080159.JPG
After some recent acquisitions and the efforts involved i'm paying the penalty for my enthusiasm . Never been one to lay down and die , things will progress , I just need to get the priorities in order and slow down a bit .
