Kez, you are very talented and skilled.
But for me, the first tree looks too manicured.
I don’t grow these, but I thought I was the only one thinking the after photo looks sickly

The pine tree looks like a Dr Suess tree, the technical explanation being “too wishy washy.”
These are just my thoughts Kerrin.
Don’t take me the wrong way, you have amazing skill, but I don’t think we see eye to eye with styling

Nah we don’t Rory but it’s all good,
As far as the colour goes, it’s just on it’s way to purple for the Canberra winter

Oh just the colour. But you have addressed that further down...

Yeah we are getting some serious frost lately, nobody seemed concerned at the workshop, Leong was surprised it wasn’t purple already

I am happy for everybody to discuss the changes made to the above tree, for the better or worse

Comparing the two images you posted - I liked the image of your juniper better before Kez. When looking a little "chaotic", I really enjoyed studying the tree's trunk structure & branch lines for that very reason. Visually ,it held more entertainment [to my eyes.]
The new styling direction [for me] seems a bit "spelt out" or less dimensional? (hard to judge from just the one photo)
I appreciate you posting your recent experience with Mauro, & and happy to hear you got the result that YOU were looking for.
