Congratulations Squizzy! I'm assuming you were on stay at home duty because the baby was due, so you decided to work on some trees in your spare time?

Thanks for the well wishes everyone.

Sam (our newest addition) is doing great but I will be quite on the bonsai front for a week or two

This group goes into rest till next winter unfortunately. I don't think its worth ripping it apart again in a few weeks. Some great ideas came though in those last few comments though. Its got me thinking.

This group has sat still for almost two years. Well apart from changing the angle of a few trunks. Today I had a lightbulb moment after thinking about elmars comment re the walking track. I thought that lowering it would help define it more.

It may get a slight tweak this year at repotting time but let me know your thoughts regarding the pathway.

Hi Squizz,

I love the thread and its progression from its humble beginnings. It has come along way mate.

If it were mine, I would be concentrating purely on lower branching. Here is a rough idea of what I mean when in leaf (woohoo the lazy virt hahaha)

Hope you don't mind the idea Squizz, I am looking forward to following its progression from here mate.

Cheers

David

Great thread Squizzy,

Very educational and inspiring watching the development of your forest.
I think it looks great.

My :2c:
I do agree with David's above comment, just not as low with the foliage as the virtual.
Also, the main tree IMO is a tad distracting at its present tilt.

I do think it's a great composition, well done.
