Hey KC
Last year was my first with Olives so I was wondering how much was my fault for lack of growth I found some lack of drainage that would have killed a lesser tree but still unsure that was all there was to it Maybe they just wanted to sulk after being repotted?. A small bubble leaf I got from Ray would never dry out and although it never looked unhealthy it did not put any new growth on. After a new akadama mix mid season last year this year I have trouble keeping it from drying out and has started to grow. Happy to see this bigger guy get going this year as well.
This one was from Don out at Hay but it sounds like I need to put aside a collected olive or two for you :P

Growth was pretty good this year although it looks much the same after being trimmed back a few times. Few extra branches I have not worked out whether to keep or not so it looks a bit of a mess at the moment.
Probably could have used more DL but it keeps getting washed off with the tree sitting high in the pot :palm:
I was considering putting it into a Forrest pot next spring so glad you asked as I took the time to size it up. Thought it might be a little big but I think it wil be good for now. Oly problem wil be finding room for the wider pot :?
Now I think about it I read recently that someone had good success with vigor in spring after an Autumn repot.
Might spend some time soughting this one out and a repot soon.

Decided to get in and clean this guy up then repotted into the tray pot. During he season I trimmed back upward growin branches instead of removing them all together. I think this was a mistake and have now removed all but side growth for secondary branches.
Will keep a closer eye on this now to make sure the growth is only going where I want so I can thicken those primary branches.
I thought this pot might be too big for it but I think it is a good match.
Do you think I got the tree in he right spot?

Oh bugger about the tie down wire hey but it was the only way I could be sure the tree was secure. Health comes first right ;)
