Olives don't seem to mind being transplanted when it is warmer. I'm planning a club olive dig for mid November down here and expect almost 100% survival from the trees we take home.

Agreed, all my feral/african olives came out of the ground in summer and didnt miss a beat.
Shibui, are you guys open to outsiders tagging along for a dig? Im keen to add some more euro stumps to the collection.

An update on this tree, we have finally decided to remove it, however its too big a bonsai job for me to tackle at the moment so i am offering it up to you all!
If anyone would like to take this large olive tree, all you have to do is come and remove it
Located in the west of Melbourne.

Here are some photos of the tree cut back and dug up
After a bit of cleaning
Now it's soaking in this big tub with a touch of fertilizer
Here it is again with the knife for size reference
