Hi CK,
whats your design plan ? Do you have a general direction in which you will train the new growth ? It'd be great to hear where your going with this tree now,

Hey Sabamiki, The design plan/aim is an informal upright eventually. The chop that was made 'IS' the training for the new growth. Basically all i will be doing for atleast a year is, 1.feeding regularly and 2. removing any shoots that pop up on the trunk base. The top will be grown out until the second trunk section is thick enough.Sabamiki wrote:Hi CK,whats your design plan ? Do you have a general direction in which you will train the new growth ? Thanks mate, At the moment I'm thinking larger than Shohin. I will re-asses the plan after it has grown out for a while.anttal63 wrote:Fantastic CK lookn the goods mate. If you're wanting a larger tree sometimes best not to plan from this point, just let it grow and when the time is right the next direction and leader will present its self. On the other hand if shohin/ mini is what you want the choices are already there. Looking at a future larger tree through the eyes of a shohin now will always set your tree up with dynamic movement starting low down.

I assume you will let it go mad for another year now to get some girth on the second trunk section.
