I have just taken a heap of Tortured willow aka corkscrew willow (Salix babylonica var. pekinensis 'Tortuosa') cuttings varying from pencil thin to about 75mm (3 inches). I have tried one bucket with just plain tap water, and the other with tap-water and seasol. I have also tried a few methods of cut types on the base. some are just flat, some are diagonal, and others are split ends as per step 3 (minus the chocks)in the develop fig quickly thread - viewtopic.php?f=7&t=6717 I will post my failure or success at a later date.

Yes, I did get a weeping willow for my daughter. Originally, it had several trunks, but many died back over a couple of hot summers. It also didn't like wiring. Recently, it has responded well to wooden pegs; and although this picture doesn't show the latest leaf burn this week, it throws out new shoots well.



It is my most finicky tree; I've not even attempted to work on ramification as I get to know it better.
