Hi Bodhi. Really like this tree, it makes me think of that hollow trunk elm by Colin Lewis:

I prefer a large hollow to break up that massive trunk, but happy to try something different if you prefer.

Okay Bodhi one more crack at it(sorry image little out of focus)

I am not keen on a big open front as Matt has drawn,too predictable for me but thats just me.

Bonsai4me Mr Harrington is a great exponent of this method if your interested in a look,very nice subtle lines..anyway I m sure you know what you have in mind.

Cheers Anthony, that is more of what i am imagining. Wish i could put thought on paper as you do.

Here it is with the requested change. Sometimes I prefer the hollow to be flared, sometimes the tree, depending on what is the most dominant to the eye. Photoshops like this always make the hollow stand out but that's not always the case in real life.
I had another crack, this time making the 2 halves less symmetrical. I think I prefer this one.
