Just want to say thanks to Peter, Clinton, Ray, Brian and all the others that go to making a great experience for us all. I had a fabulous weekend that culminated in the workshop day on the Monday.

It was such a great week-end. Most of the photos I took are doubles of what has already been posted but here are a couple of different ones.

I have not long Gotten home and will post some more photos later ( tomoorow Night maybe
but a few from today on my workshop tree
There were Seven of us in the workshop and we all had a great time. :-)

It was a Melaleuca I collected from a council work outlined in this thread here. viewtopic.php?f=3&t=4463&p=52443&hilit= ... cil#p52400

the final tree now needs the branching and canopy to develop, and I will Burn the carved section to give the impression of an old burnt stump

Enjoy, I did :-)

Ken you are welcome, as for flower well let us wait and see. You want a nice tree, so the pruning you do will limit that.
This will be very nice in the future.
It looks a bit flat or two dimensional, in the drawing which is surprising as Peters drawings are better, may be just me also, I would like to see that straight chop with some taper and turning as in movement of the hollow.

Just my :2c: Pup

Thanks Pup
It is a bit light on the branching at the back, so hope to get some depth as we go along.

I am going to lower the carving on the right side some more, which will give more movement to the left edge. Hopefully this will also give more interest that you refer to?
