On the subject of you being away from home, are you still tempted to move away from Parkes? I think you had discussed that you would be keen on being fairly close to the surf and obviously employment and infrastructure is important for you and you family. There are places in rural Vic that are inexpensive and ideal for the little trees. Ballarat as an example, is 90 minutes from Torquay and the surfcoast along the Great Ocean Rd, cool to cold climate in winter with decent growing season sunshine, less temperature extremes than Parkes with better rainfall. Deciduous trees in their element, Tridents as street trees.

Thanks for the thought Mojo, Comming back to WA is topping the list at the moment. Plenty of work and a big drop in house prices as well as Family and friends just can't be ignored.
Imagine peak hour in the city with only half a dozen cars at each stop light It seriously takes 5 minutes to drive through the city centre (maybe even a lap of tghe city ) and about 20 minutes to get from the northen outskirts to the southern outskirts or any other way you would like to go. Pulling up at Kings park overlooking the city to find it is still free parking is the sought of thing to expect.
Every train we went on was practicly spotless and full of friendly people with the equivelint of a couple of police officers at every stop and also a few on the train after dark.
The main problem at the moment is wether to live 5 minutes from the beach or move further inland so my trees can get some fresh cold air. Oh and that I would have to leave most of my collection behind and start agian

You know where there is stock for sale, and can be shown collecting areas, as were shown to you, there's plenty more around not far we have a licence between us you do the digging for the old man.

As promised Ken I had a look at my Mt Sylvia Diatomite and it was more colourful than I thought when wet. Yet when I put it next to the Valvoline Oil spill (what I believe to also be diatomite) I see why I thought it was mostly white
I could not Find my Snappy Tom. I now believe I threw it in with my latest mix when I collected the bottle brushes
