Black wattle? It has pinnately veined leaves and serrate leaf margins.
Very beautiful tree!

An absolutely awesome tree, although the pics don't do it justice. Does anyone have a black wattle as bonsai?

I have just arrived home from the Symposium and show, anyone who missed the first one will be kicking themselves when they go next year, it was great!

Congrats to Mike, Roger, Neil, Will, Grant and all else involved. It was one of the best bonsai events I have been to and I was just an observer in the workshops!!!

Nobody should miss this event next year!

I think I can speak for all the people that do know Ray, they would not underate him Leigh. He does complain about people who snore though, as his two room mates did at tops. :shake:

Leigh was keen to take all the branches of this and start again but thought the punters would not like that for a demo  Knew the picture of this tree would not look great but it does have a certain lope sided character that could be developed into a very interesting tree.

Hi all,

We will be borrowing one of the small Melaleucas from the show for the NBPCA. It has to do a few more shows in Sydney first and then we will get it back down here for a year or so.

:gday: Why is it that when nice trees are on display, we get some bloke with a bloody iphone instead of a decent camera, taking photos of the tree :?:

You have all done very well, young Mr grump. ;) :hooray:

I took the pics with a decent Prosumer camera but the lighting was not great and had to resort to flash for my quick snaps :palm:
Last years pics on the web look good i wonder if they used extra lighting?

Thanks fro the Pics Brett

Possibly Just from a Tripod and longer exposure.
Only problem is that you needs a bit of room and the onlookers tend to get a bit cranky :-)
