it just looks to me like there is another branch on the right hand side of that trunk that could be used to better effect instead of bringing that one on the left over, if it is a must to bend the rules i think the branch on the inside curve would be a better option than the big crossing branch, just a thought pal

if that second last pic is your chosen front then i can see how it works but i still find it very distracting in the other angles i still reckon if you put that branch down to the left it would greatly enhance the image mate

but i am sure you have a grand plan for it and it will work

Nice work I wouldn't be at all worried about bar branches or branches on the inside of a curve. I would be really worried about the base of the trunk leaning away from you. I remember Hiro telling me that is an a rule never to be broken, he said the trunk base should lean left, right or be straight up and down but never forwards and never ever leaning back. Your tree is worth taking into him see what he says.

Hi Craig, thanks for the encouragement i know its gonna make it. I have always thought to lean the base back and to one side is the way to go. It draws the eye into the composition and immediatelty creates depth. I can see how straight back is not a good idea. The base coming forward is a definate no no for me and that is the main reason i'm not taking some peoples suggestion for a so called better front. I am thinking long and hard about taking this tree along to the Hiro WS's. I will be doing as many WS's on as many trees as i can fit in. Im just not convinced that this one should go to him. Liporace in Sydney would be the right feel for this tree I think.

they are fertiliser baskets, it allows you to put slow release pellets or fert cubes on the soil without them getting washed away when watered or eaten by birds

And so it doesnt turn into a mud cake on the soil surface. They are changed for fressh pellets every 6 weeks. The old is thrown in the garden and growing on boxes. No ignorance glenda it is a common question.

i think the only thing to change would be the pot. it's a very strong tree, masculine, so i think it needs a more masculine pot. rectangle strong lip

Ya's have really gone all potty. This design is so stressed it is hard to look at. The direction is all over the place and has no meaning nor makes any sense. All that with a big ugly C section to boot.

that ugly "C" section may be a natural aerodynamic wind tunnel that pics up the wind as it comes in, chews it up and spits it out in the flow of the branches...
