Yeah I love oaks, but you must have missed the post where the original tree passed on :-(.
Curl grub infestation got it which is why i now use diatomite.

The layer only too about 2 -3 months to set roots and take off.
I took it off at the end of July and was put in early winter :lost: Go figure eh! :-)

Hey Ken, yeah I read the thread from the start but I was not sure which tree had bit the dust...now I am with you. What a bummer!
Gee the layer didn't take long :tu2:
I repotted all my cork oaks at the start of spring and I will have to update that post soon.
