I wish to acknowledge the people who translate the Japanese content for subtitles in WorldOfBonsai. This requires technical skill and creativity. It's a hard grind that requires application. Thanks to Adam and Megumi, Jason and Kazako, Ayako Kumakura and Kana Nakinishi.
They effectively cut the middle man out of the bonsai conversation and empower the end user.
Awesome work people.
Cheers

The next episode will be delayed a little. I had intended to finish 5 episodes from Takamatsu in October. There won't be too much of a wait and I hope to have episode 5 online early in November.
It's a case of too many riches with the Shikoku content.
There are a few segments that are just too long for the series so they will have to be on the DVD.
In the next episode the main segment reveals the secrets of pine trunk thckening. It will be worth seeing.

had in the past watched the first series and was so very impressed, and now to see new material out, what a treat.

it is so exciting and eye opening to see the depth and intensity that the eastern cultures place on the art of bonsai.
thank you so much lindsay for opening the door to some of the delights from asia

awesome work

Jamie,

Apologies for the delay with episode 5 of series 2.

The unseasonal spring heat waves in Melbourne have demanded my attention be focused on the bonsai garden. As well as that my editing suite is not air conditioned and it's exhausting spending long periods in there under such conditions.

I began this WorldOfBonsai series 2 project almost 2 decades ago. It's scope is wide.

I have had difficulty defining the finality of it. But I've drawn a line in the sand and currently the final clips are being filmed.

I'm making the final choices of the subjects that are most useful to our world bonsai community. The book that will be included with the DVD set is in production.

In reality it will be early next year before the set will be available for enthusiasts.

Thanks for your curiosity and interest.

Cheers

Finally,

WorldOfBonsai series 2 episode 5 is online.

I know that some users have had difficulty with the Vimeo platform.

China ( our largest user nation) has blocked Vimeo.

As soon as I can find time after christmas I'll encode .wmv files for download.

Cheers

woohoo now I get to know what they are saying ;)

Hey Lindsay I guess you know that many of you beginer video's are not working at the moment from the links on your site. I guess you are swapping them over to vimeo or something. I was looking for the Wiring a carpinus vid when I noticed.

woops, I didn't know that Bretts. I'll check it out. Vimeo doesn't work in China and that's our largest community so I'm contemplating the future at present. I may keep those libraries as they have worked seamlessly for yonks.
If you can point me to other no go clips I would be most appreciative.
