YVBS Special Sale Day November 2011

Can someone be kind enough to tell me if this is the second bonsai sale that box hill had a week or so ago ??

Hi Fatming,

No mate, this is not a second box hill sale day.

The Yarra Valley bonsai Society held a sale day in Feb of this year, with some very good bargains had on the day.
The sellers we had, sold some great starter stock through to some very beautiful quality trees.
I would not be telling lies if i tell you that it was not a sale day to have missed.

Well, with a ton of people asking us when we will be having another sale, we put out our feelers and tested the water to see if the community were interested.
We have had a lot of interest from growers and bonsai artists and the overwhelming answer was "Yes Please".

I've seen and been told of what is going to be on offer on the day.
There will be stock available from some of Victoria's leading bonsai artists.

Both Bodhi and CraigW will be selling on the day - these two sellers alone ensures that it will be a great day.

Me, myself, i'll be cashed up and coming home with something special.

I look forward to meeting up with you there on the day,

Hi "FatMingsBonsai", Mike is right - this is NOT a Bonsai Show! Come along and I'm sure you'll enjoy the day and maybe take home a beauty or two. Some of our members are reducing their collections and there will be quite a large number of great bonsai for sale!

There are a couple more options additional to the one Ryan has given you for you to look at - I haven’t been in any of them, but they’re close by, with the http://www.yarrarangescottage.com.au/ to be the closest B&B, the other two http://yarravalleymotel.com.au/ and http://www.olindacreekhotel.com.au/ are in Lilydale, which is about 10 minutes down the hill on the Maroondah Hwy.

My wallet is bulging. Good suggestion about the York on Lilydale, there are a couple of motels on maroondah hwy Lilydale, which is also close and pubs as well. Depends what you are looking for, also some b and b's up in the dandenongs, so plenty to choose from.

It was difficult to get accommodation as Cold Chisel is playing at Rochford. The Dorset gardens hotel-motel has accommodation though. I saw Cold Chisel in their heyday so i do not feel the need to revisit them when they are old and crotchety. See you all on Sunday.

As I type this, I am coughing frantically and have shortness of breath. I am sure my boss will be accommodating because I sure would hate to pass my germs onto my colleagues as that would be extremely selfish
