Home made native potting mix?

Sorry i havent got a pic up, almost out of internet credit (mobile boradband) so will try next week. Anyway one of the melaleuca's and the casuarina that started to die were both cut right back, that was probably a week or more ago. I just scratched the bark on both and they are still green so fingers crossed they will reshoot. The casuarina that didnt die back is going crazy now, new growth all up the stem and the "needles" are all branching out so it obviously didnt mind too much.
