Nice stump Bretts. I would be very surprised if it did not put on a heap of new foliage. If i could give a little advice it would be to keep the new foliage on your secondarys down to two leaves and keep that pruning regime up throughout its growth period. Otherwise they get bent out of shape really quickly.

Hey Brett, glad you updated this tree...thanks :tu2:
It is certainly growing well!
As I am sure you are aware, I remember reading a post of Bohdi's from a while back discussing how he overcomes the single growth spurt per year and I am pretty sure that defoliating had a role to play in it (possibly root pruning too??). Please let us know how it goes in this regard.
You mention earlier in the thread talking to Will B about procera, do you plan on trying his fertilising method with this species on this tree?
Are you still planning on carving later this year, or will you wait a while longer?
Ripper trunk!
Cheers, Dario.

Hi Dario
Yep been chatting with Bodi and Will about the single growth spurt. There seems to be several options worth trying. I think I remember reading about Will's fertiliser program but if you have a link to refresh my memory that would be great.

Thanks Bodi, Hopefully I find some time to give it a good prune soon :fc:

Sure thing Brett, here is the link to the post in question were Will mentions changing his fert regime to feeding at every watering.
viewtopic.php?t=8262 ...(page 2 of post briefly shows the brands he uses).
Being that I assume you use a free draining mix etc, this may not be of much help to you...but I find it interesting.
Looking good and please keep up the updates!
Cheers, Dario.

Ah thanks Dario. I remember that now. Every watering hey! Now that should give me a good kick up the arse because I have been slacking of a little over the last month or so and missed a week here or there. :shifty:
