Beautiful tree Will
Do you still use Seaweed / Fish emulsion every watering or something else?
what rates do you apply it?

I love this tree Will and it is great to see it on the pages of Ausbonsai.
I am not sure if you where trying this daily fertilising last time we chatted about the English Elm's habit of only one flush of growth per season. I echo KC request could you outline/clarify what you use daily and what dilution.
Much appreciated!
Brett

Hello Ken and Brett. Chemical feed is what I'm using. Miracle gro is the product and is a high nitrogen general purpose garden and hanging basket feed. I firstly water all my trees with a hose and spray gun and then apply Miracle gro at directed strength with a watering can. Because the trees are watered first, the full strength feed is watered down in the pot. I will still be using seaweed extract on a weekly basis to help balance the feeding.

Give it a crack Brett. All and I mean ALL my trees are putting on massive amounts of growth. Pines, Yews, Prunus, Hawthorn, Cotoneaster and Larch etc, are loving it.

Inspiring Will. Being an E.E fan i am heartened when i see a nicely ramified tree, gives me motivation to keep going. Love the carving work. Feed, feed your trees i say :tu:

A month on and back in leaf. Strong feeding and this tree has NEVER been so vigorous. Should have done this years ago.

Wow !!,..what a difference :o
Many thanks for the tip. I have always fed as per normal seasonal routine feeds, but will try little feeds every watering to my deciduous trees this coming summer :tu:

Btw, the Elm looks awesome :hooray:

Thanks Fatming. I have a number of EE's and all grew at varying rates in the past. Since feeding every watering, the growth is not only prolific but more consistant. All trees have been leaf pruned this Summer and burst back into leaf with avengance.
