Trident Maple air layering

i was kinda my fault as this was my first air layering. Learnt heaps and this year I did 4 air layers and they are all doing well so far.

What time of year are you starting and finishing your layers? I would have thought all deciduous layers should have been severed by this time of year?????

I have put on t layer isn the last month, 1 on an Oak ( Quercus Robur), and another on an Azalea.
I have very mild winters here and they will be fine. I will be able to take them off Early spring and get head start on them for the next year :-)

ps I have done them all year round here with sucess, They will be a little slower, but that is alll

Layer on Cup day and chop off on Australia day. Great way to remember. Thanks QV. Doing good so far touch wood!!!
