You are understandably proud of your tree Jozaeh and i love your presentation of it. You have made a nice tree from standard material and once it matures a bit and the root work is done, It needs those aerial roots gone, this will be a very nice tree,

Yep I would agree with Bodhi, hope u kept some of the bigger roots & used them as root cuttings as they can preduce great new trees

Ah thanks Bodhi and thanks hacker! You can tell i'm proud of it, and over a month ago I bit the bullet and severed the aerial roots from the trunk base, BUT left the aerial roots OWN roots in the soil therey were in, and the darn roots did what I hoped: they shot out 15 fresh shoots from the cut, ha! So it looks like I'll end up with a funny looking but cool root cutting to play with.

Jozaeh,, thank you for showing your Corky

As a beginner, i have one that is loosing it's leaves for me. First time that i have seen it naked so to speak. Can not weight to take some photos of it with no leaves. It's been in the ground for about 10 month's and has went "LADY GAR GAR"

Then i will have some questions.

Hey Brad! Oh gosh, you will have fun with your corky! They just don't stop for a breath, I love them.

Oh you're welcome for showing my tree, and i love this time of year because it means they all start dropping their leaves, giving them that wonderful winter branch silhouette. Ah thanks for that Anttal! I checked it out, I must admit, I think i would have preferred to have the bark slice on the roots be that little bit lower to keep some of the base flare, but overall it really works, wow. I still can't believe it, i would be too scared that i'd kill the tree by doing that ringbark, ha!

The end tree really is such an improvement hey.
