Thanks for that Steven, I might just have to go out and get Photoshop or something that has more options, I'm using MGI photosuite which does not do much more than clone and draw lines. It helps to get the point across though.

Antonio, thanks for taking the suggestion in the spirit that it was given and I look forward to your future photos showing me something new.

i must also commend you on your photo editing skills, i got pretty good at paint... but when i got my hands on photoshop, boy oh boy my editing skills went through the roof (and in half the time)

indeed jon, aaron i'd like photoshop too but what ive looked at i cant justify the money am i missing something is there a cheaper way?

of course there's a cheaper way ant, its called elements.

i have photoshop elements six, it's the latest (or so i believe) elements that adobe do...

i cant remember the exact price, but for something like 200 bucks it is certainly the most user friendly, awesomely powerful photo and image editing software i have had the pleasure of using.

i do lots of stuff with it... my avatar

for one example.

oh and any of the styling advice i've given, if i've changed a photo, it's only taken me 5-10minutes tops.

one of the most useful tools is the magic wand, where you can (if you have a relatively plain backround) just pick your tree up off the picture. i like

Well its time for an update here. Sorry Jimmie not the one you asked for but i will get there. I took this tree to the first North West workshop and boy did it create some stir. Lots of contraversy! (love that shite) Guys thanks for all ya input but at this time in the game, im running with it. People out what do you think??? Don't be afraid im sure i heard it all before.last week.

Like it all bar the ling sweeping branch. The first on the left the becomes the first on the right but without seeing it in the flesh I can't tell.

Thanks for the heads up mate. That one will probably get cut back.

im with jezz on that branch ant, im not sure about getting rid of it, i would put it back to where it originates from the first branch on the left, going to the left not across the trunk and to the right, it will balance the tree and fix the unbalanced feel it has.

Getting rid of - no. Going to the left - no. Getting shorter- yes. I llike that branch crossing very much. Thanks mate for your honest opinion.

it just looks to me like there is another branch on the right hand side of that trunk that could be used to better effect instead of bringing that one on the left over, if it is a must to bend the rules i think the branch on the inside curve would be a better option than the big crossing branch, just a thought pal
