Hi Pup,
After reading this it gave me hope for my (what I presumed was dead) Mel Paper bark I shoved it in the ground (and I mean shoved I thought it was dead) at an angle coming out from the compost bin I made a conscious effort to add extra water to the compost bin than normal so a few times a week and then about 10days ago I cleaned out my wood fire and put a lot of the ash over stump( remember reading somewhere on here about some plants reacting well to bushfire induced situations thought it cant hurt) . Today I have been rewarded with noticing shoots on the trunk and top branch which I was going to make the leader Really has made my day now if only my first collected one will start to shoot its not dead but is still yet to shoot from original transplant in early may.
Cheers
Jas
