yes it is common in australia but not as bonsai

if u want a vietual done for ur tree then post it in virtuals and design topic and someone there will give u a design


P.S i still stand by my decision to remove that straight trunk

Yes when i first collected i removed all the leaves and give some cutts with a saw on it!

one that tree was straight with limited options for trunklines and thats the best option to go with

but yours u have excellent movement so why not use it ? do u get what i mean if it is fused carve some taper into the trunkline so its tapers to the top nicely

Hi Amazonida, once you take out that straight trunk in the front your tree will come to life. Such a beautiful trunk why hide it behind a straight, no taper trunk.

Sorry, me butting in again. Not trying to be a smart arse or anything but i think maybe amazonicas confusion is because minh's vert is actually done on a pic of what he considered to be the back. I know its hard to figure it out from the pics but i think in the latest series of pics the second one is of what he wanted as a front (and you guys agreed? but wanted the straight trunk off) and the last pic, which the virt is from is of the back. So now he doesn't know whether to chop the straight or change the front. Anyhow the straight needs to just go and then look at it again and pick the best front.
Just trying to help, can't wait to see this tree when it finally gets a styling and then as it grows back and developes!!!

and then u can spin it around and choose the front .back or front its still in the way

Hi Amazonida, I would keep the front in the original pic but remove the straight trunk with no taper and show off the beautiful trunkline behind it. Looks like you need to get it in a pot and do some growing before you perform the surgery.

I agree with Craig above, The originla photo you had posted is to be used as the front.
You need to remove that relly straight trunk and you will then see the other trunks behind and work with them
Trunk scar where you cut from can be carved or hidden with foliage
