You should have no complaint about the trunk

But that long bend looks out of place for me.
I am not sure what you are planning to do with it. Also, the lowest branch, are you growing it
for fatten up the branch then cut it off?
If it were mine, I would cut off the top (the bend) to the first top branch and grow this branch
as a potential leader.

thanks viet but the lowest, smallest bud on the left is the future leader unless something better presents its self. the rest is all still sacraficial. until next year.

mate i need to go to the nurseries you do, i paid 15 bucks for a JBP seedling, no where near that size its just a stick right now.
great stock tho will be great to see in the future!
