Why does that remind me of my mother coming back from the botanic gardens with a handbag full of cuttings. She felt mildly guilty, but apparently the sin is forgiven if yours grow better than the gardens one did (sortof a public service to keep the plant growing well I think, better not to delve into my mothers mind)
I picked up a promising willow in an opshop garden section once, was told firmly on BonsaiTalk that there was no such thing as a nice looking bonsai willow, only one person came up with some pics to prove wrong. That tree went to Bonsai Heaven eventually tho, do I become an expert when I have killed enough?

I don't think so. it's about the same as two wrongs don't make a right. and haha, yeah i have spotted a few trees that i want to take from the ground around the place. the first one i'm about to steal from my friends backyard. :P well, not technically stealing it. but y'know... taking it >_> haha. he helped me get one out of the ground at my house not long ago actually. is going decent (it's a celtis btw.) can't wait until i find some decent maple stock to purchase. can't wait for spring! willow cuttings here i come.
