Hi Leigh, I've already told you what I think of your appointment, but I'll repeat it here: They couldn't have chosen a better one (Assistant Interim Curator).
As for photos: remember I took a whole bunch during your demo last year for the Weston Creek Club?
Here are my two favourites.
See you at the Collection!

Cheers,

Lisa

Thanks Greg and Lisa!

Yes, the Hinoki is doing well - however, it did get a touch up from some harsh sun late spring - as did quite a few of my trees - kinda caught me off guard! Today was surprisingly hot here also, I think the temp might have exceeded the forecast! It definately felt a lot hotter than the past week or so!

Hi Leigh,
Glad the Hinoki is doing OK, I'd love to see some update pic once it's overcome the Summer sun trauma. One doesn't often get to see a Hinoki of that size and quality as a bonsai, just check the big world exhibitions. Lots 'n lotsa conifers, but few Chamaecyparis and never any Hinokis. Pity, as they are so suited to bonsai. Well, Canberra will have a "first".
I agree re: temps. Yesterday the sun had a real sting to it and several of my trees had drooping leaves at watering time, late afternoon.
Another hot one today. Same as Melbourne. Good luck to us all.

Lisa

It is so good to know that top quality competent stylists are handling the trees which should ensure there are enthusiasts all over Australia comfortable in donating or loaning a tree to the collection, knowing the level of care it will receive. Congratulations.

Thanks to everyone who has responded.

The NBPCA is going to be a very busy place over the next two years coming up to the shifting to the new location , and the addition of Leigh to the team will be a great help.

And he is so good looking as well; it can't hurt.
