Very sad I hope it gets better mate ,now you have a very good excuse to extend the collection (always need extra backup)

Thank you all for for your good thoughts and well wishes. It feels good to be involved with so many like minded people who give a damn. The end result is a lot of broken branches on trees(i do not believe how the wisteria escaped) it was between the two main trunks that fell

and the branches, read huge, were resting in its foliage and only minor damage ensued. The elm has had major surgery and i believe will thrive. Major damage was pots, shadesails, benches and probably Arborist fees. Estimates are 3-4 grand plus two days hard work cleaning up. I am glad that is now out of the way and 2010 has been heralded in with a stack of firewood ready for winter

May your 2010 be fortuitous and your trees become showstoppers

Great to hear you still in good spirits and looking positive about the bonsai.
Maybe save that firewood for the winter after this - Wood takes quite a while to dry properly and burning green wood only clogs up the chimney and leads to chimney fires.
