Hi Olie,

Here is how the tree looks like now.

I'm not sure what's different with this tree that I've got such small needles. Was it the smaller substrate? Or was it the smaller pot? I have no idea
The needles are smaller than 1cm.

Maybe it should have been "cold wash only"?

Don't. I've already tried and the tree died.

Great to see the tree is healthy as anything. I've heard a lot of different opinions on cedar roots - and it looks like you went pretty hard here. Obviously there's never one size fits all :tu:

Needles and health of the tree as a whole look amazing.

What has the fertilizer regime been for the tree? I have a deodar and it did the same thing when I wasn’t fertilising it. Now that I have started fertilising it( changing to root over rock so need the growth) it’s started pushing out long needles
