Top bloke and yes he has some great stock, the photo of the swampy on previous page was used in the last narnia movie voyage of the dawn treader, very nice when you see it in the bark.

At the recent Gold Coast-Tweed Bonsai club show, I won the raffle prize for the gift voucher at Red Dragon.

So hard deciding what to get with it... :tu:

I visited over the Christmas hols and had a great time just browsing but later arranged to have family pick up some christmas presents for me- jolly nice of the relies i say!

Very sad to say though that they've been 'hit' several times by thieves who knew what they were after and where to get it - seems that the criminals were there previously as punters... I was really disgusted  - i had previously asked if i could take some photos of their more advanced stock and was very politely explained their concerns re security. I completely understood and we all had a great half hour or so - i purchased nothing that time but left with a lot of respect and admiration at their trees, genuine warmth and willingness to offer advice and sahre our pasion (obsession) - but got some stuff later on from my relatives who knew exactly what i wanted.... after i told them ;)

A good time!

Stew

Thank you everyone for your information regarding bonsai nurseries heading from Sydney to Qld. The Red Dragon Nursery is a must if you are heading up that way. Unfortunately more have been stolen recently so no photos allowed. It is a nursery that is well worth a visit. The display is awesome. Very friendly staff too.

I was supposed to go there last weekend to have a look since I have heard a lot about this place and took my wife along with me as well but she wanted to stop at that big shopping center in harbour town and we ended up spending the whole day there and on the way back to Brisbane me was very sad :crybye:

But to make things better she took me to the local nursery and bought me 3 pots.... :palm: like thats going to make up for it.

Ill get there one day....this time will drive there on my own...hehehe! :fc:

Best stock, best tree design, best kept property, best range of supplies, all in one spot. Chris is a winner. He's got some amazing black pine stock that's been meticulously grown in the ground for years...but be prepared to spend a bit :P

This is the closest store to me which from reading these reviews sounds like I'm lucky. I think it'll quickly take over the pub as first place I spend my wages ;) Chris is a real honest guy with a passion he's happy to share. Sams a lucky kid to be learning so much that young. Can't wait to see what he's up to in 40 years. I also mentioned to my girlfriend she should show her kids which led to her bringing me home some wire ;)
