Just as an idea of what is out there for you. This is the air layer of my unknown dwarf Japanese Maple. I found the tree at a bonsai nursery.
Here is a comparision of leaf sizes with box of matches as scale; Straight species on left obviously, middle is about the largest leaf i could find from the layer above, and next to it is about the largest Shishigashira (known for small leaves) leaf i could find (a variety known for small leaves)
