Hi Ben, in the past I've picked up pieces of shale on the drive from Nerang out to the Hinze Dam, or from Oxenford going to Canungra. There are areas where the cuttings for the roads have a lot of exposed rock face and a lot of suitable material lying as rubble or scree to use the correct term at the bottom of the slope on the roadsides.
