We have finally got there with a picture later of a tree that was not ready. As we had not got full flower. we have now.

Massive effort Pup. Good thing you are retired. The bunjingi was a good example. I love the way natives are widely used. Not so prevalent in Victoria

This one was too bloody Idle to make the show. It decided to flower Saturday Sunday when it should have been flowering last week.

Wow, Pup, a tree in the top two hundred in the world. That is awesome!!!! You should be proud!! Great to see someone carrying the flag for Aussie Bonsai & mixing it with the best in the world. Congratulations.

By the way, I noticed you saying to Bodhi that if he "had" posted his tree and then entered it into the contest , it would be disqualified . If I am to understand this correctly, what is the reason for the disqualification? Have I misunderstood the post?

John we are trying for anonymity. In the contest plus he asked ME the question, and I have been asked to be a judge also as to guidelines for assistants, also has to be worked out.
That is all if you are going to enter the competition for the Bunjingi ( literati ) styling then at this stage please do not post it here.

PS thats not my Melaleuca by the way.

Seeing what can be done, and with what varieties of trees is always fascinating!

As to your other comments thank you young man. I am only to pleased to be of help to those that are wanting it.
The idea of shows are to promote the art of Bonsai, and encourage other's which is what we are trying to do.

Both here and with all the other fora that are available to us. Cheer's your's in Bonsai Pup

By opening time Sunday we were in profit what we ended up with is not yet known. It is a big effort but mostly we all enjoy it.
It is helping us to refine for 2011 which we hope will be as good as 2001. Would like it better though.

Hi Pup,

As you know shows are not necessarily about fund raising, although the treasurers like to see it make a profit. As long as the public come and all the members participate it is worthwhile.

The shows help focus the minds of the members about having their trees in show condition at least once a year. Your trees are always in show condition so that is not your focus; you help inspire the others to step up to the mark.

Once again well done and I will be there in 2011, and maybe next year as well if I can swing it.
