This one has thrown out a heap of new shoots since the shock I gave it, and I've rewarded it by chopping the roots and putting it into a bonsai pot! So far so good...I did this a couple of weeks ago, and there was no apparent stopping it by this treatment.
Now it's back in the sun, and seems to be thriving. Wired (badly) and hopefully there'll be some lignification of branches soon.
